Laser marking or engraving machine is a non-contact, abrasion-resistant way to leave permanent mark onto almost any type of materials. High precision images, graphics or text, barcodes or QR code, serial numbers, logos, date coding, variable text inputs, etc. can be easily and fastly marked on a wide range of articles.
Laser marking, engraving or cutting machine is usually made up of laser power supply, laser head assembly, user control interface or software. The software also provides the interface to manage multi-axis motion systems if required.
Laser marking or engraving working by irradiating the target with a laser light to melt, scorch, peel, oxidise, cut, or discolour the surface. Laser markers can be roughly divided into two types: masking laser markers and scanning laser markers. By masking, laser beam is applied to a mask surface, and only those pass through the mask are marked. On the other hand, scanning targets article with a single laser light, and marking is performed in a stroke-like motion.
